ELBA, a. s. Kremnica has been building a management system directly from the day of its registration in the Commercial Register in 1994. In this year the decision was made to prepare, construct and certify a management system in line with ISO 9001. After two years of preparation, the company upheld the management system and at the end of 1995 was awarded certification. In the same period, the company began preparation for the implementation of an environmental certification in line with ISO 14 001. In 1999 this system was subsequently certified. The company also has an established system for managing security and health protection in the workplace, however, it is not yet certified.

In 2003 we integrated these systems into a single management system for ELBA a.s. The main motivation for the constructed system is the ongoing improvement of identified processes, mainly on the basis of industrial engineering. The objective of the constructed system is the satisfaction of our employees and customers, fulfilling conditions of the company’s main business activities for all the existing management systems. The company aspires to impact the community and the natural environment in Kremnica in only the most optimal manner following the company’s intended plans and the growth of the Kremnica region. These basic principles of conduct for ELBA, a. s. Kremnica are defined in the Quality Policy:

BOZP Policy

  • The extensive and long-term development of standards for the management of security and health protection in the workplace (BOZP) have the objective of eliminating potential health threats by influencing technical processes, the human factors involved and by improving the work environment.
  • On the basis of reducing dangers and risks, new work conditions were issued with the goal of eliminating all preventable risks.
  • The implementation of new technological procedures and modernization of technical equipment reduces the sources of health-damaging factors.
  • Ensuring professional preparation, education and growth in employee responsibilities for those in charge of work security and education needs regarding proper use and safe work practices.
  • Creating the conditions for effective cooperation with suppliers regarding services and adjustments by requiring the correct conditions and norms to secure a secure workplace.
  • Deeply engaging the company’s employees in the process of improving the BOZP policy and generating a positive image of the company in the competitive environment.
  • Fulfilling the aims of the BOZP policy at work is the responsibility of all the employees of the company.
